Lord Bellingham serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board at BOKA. He began his professional career as a barrister, developing a strong grounding in law, governance, and constitutional affairs before entering public life. Lord Bellingham later served as a British politician, holding a number of ministerial roles including Minister for Africa at the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State across defence, foreign affairs, and Northern Ireland portfolios. During his career in government, Lord Bellingham was closely involved in matters relating to national security, international diplomacy, and allied engagement, working with partners across the UK, the United States, and NATO-aligned nations. He has also advised organisations operating in regulated and geopolitically sensitive environments. As Chairman of BOKA’s Advisory Board, Lord Bellingham provides strategic guidance on geopolitical risk, sovereign engagement, and policy developments relevant to defence, technology, and allied capital formation.
