Sir James Cleverly TD VR PC MP
Senior Advisor
Sir James is a Senior Advisor to BOKA with extensive experience across foreign policy, domestic security, and national-level decision-making. He served as UK Foreign Secretary and subsequently as Home Secretary until 2024, with responsibility for national security, borders, counter-terrorism, and the political oversight of the UK’s intelligence and security architecture, including the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), GCHQ, the Security Service (MI5), the National Crime Agency, and counter-terrorism policing. These roles give him a deep understanding of allied coordination, sovereign risk, and how government priorities translate into long-term demand for defense and dual-use technologies. At BOKA, Sir James advises on geopolitical risk, policy-driven market dynamics, and sovereign decision-making. He is a serving officer in the British Army Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and is Honorary Colonel of the 100th (Yeomanry) Regiment Royal Artillery.
